Admit it . . . We’ve all seen them on TBN and cringed. Those mega drama ministries working on a stage the size of a football field with a 6000-seat, acoustically perfect auditorium—spotlights, colorful costumes, head mikes, monitors—the works! Of course, the productions are brilliant and anointed, and thank God for them, but realistically very few drama ministries are blessed with such glamorous budgets and facilities.
A glossary of common theatrical terms.
Your pastor or worship leader may approach you for a dramatic
presentation to compliment a specific sermon or worship theme. A skit
may be seasonal or the Spirit lays a message on your heart. Proper
planning will make the difference...
Once you decide to present a drama to your church family or community,
planning is essential to its success. However simple or extravagant,
your production is an offering to God and a public statement about your
congregation or ministry and as such, must be stewarded faithfully from
beginning to end.
