Statement of Faith

1. In the beginning God. (Genesis 1:1) Without beginning or end, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is the sovereign Creator of the Universe. By His own admission, He is merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children's children to the third and the fourth generation." (Exodus 34:6-7)

2. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1) And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. (John 1:14) Jesus Christ is the Messiah foretold by the prophets and is the embodiment of the living God. Salvation comes not through works but by faith in the promise of His redemptive work. Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. (Acts 4:12)

3. The first of all the commandments is: 'Hear O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is one.
'And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.' This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: 'You shall love our neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these. (Mark 12:29-31) As believers we are bound to obey three eternal commands; love God, love ourselves, and love others.

4. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16-17) The Bible is the inspired word of God, and every verse is true and eternally relevant. Through His word, God teaches us how to fulfill His commands for us.
